Meet Dr. Jason Rubinov


Jason Rubinov, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist specializing in the management and treatment of various gastrointestinal disorders and conditions. Treating patients in Brooklyn and throughout New York City, Dr. Rubinov provides highly personalized and comprehensive care with great focus on strong physician-patient relationships. A native New Yorker born to immigrant parents, Dr. Rubinov is bilingual with native fluency in both English and Russian.

Dr. Rubinov has extensive expertise in the most current diagnosis and treatment of chronic acid reflux, abdominal pain, gastrointestinal tract bleeding, inflammatory bowel disease, colon cancer prevention, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic liver conditions, Celiac disease, and diseases of the esophagus, including eosinophilic esophagitis and Barrett’s esophagus. He is skillfully trained in a variety of endoscopic procedures, including upper endoscopy (EGD), wireless video capsule endoscopy, enteroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy.

After completing his undergraduate studies at New York University, Dr. Rubinov went on to earn his medical degree from St. George's University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then went on to complete his internal medicine internship and residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. After residency, Dr. Rubinov was selected to be Chief Resident and completed a fellowship in graduate medical education and administration. Following his year as Chief Resident, Dr. Rubinov went on to complete a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, St. Luke's and West Hospitals. During his final year of fellowship, he was selected to be a Chief Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellow.

He holds an academic appointment as a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and participates in the gastroenterologists-in-training at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr. Rubinov has engaged in various research projects including basic science research, clinical pharmacology, and clinical research. His work has been published in several major gastroenterology journals and he has presented his research at multiple national conferences. Dr. Rubinov is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the New York Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
